Peter Nallen – Managing Director
Peter Nallen is an engineer B.E. M.Eng.Sc. M.I.E.I and has 14 years experience within a variety of senior management roles in the international commercial malting industry, initially with Minch Malt and then with Greencore Malt. He was Business Development Director at Greencore Malt and led the successful RusMalt project prior to establishing GMS in June 2007.

Dr Georg Lohmann – Senior Director Raw Materials
Georg Lohmann is a qualified agricultural engineer (Dipl.-Ing. Agr., Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitaet Bonn) and combines 16 years of substantial experience in international agriculture and the malting industry. Prior to joining GMS in 2007, he worked as a consultant for farm production and food processing, followed by 10 years in the German malting industry with Weissheimer and in the Russian brewing and malting industry with RusMalt.
As Senior Director Raw Materials he has
- Global responsibility for raw materials and supply chain logistics
- Responsible for business activities in Central and Eastern Europe (with focus on Russia)
Dr David Griggs – Senior Technical Director
David Griggs has an Honours degree in Industrial Biology and a Doctorate in Plant Biochemistry and brings with him 17 years experience within various technical roles in the commercial malting industry, initially with Pauls Malt and then with Greencore Malt. Prior to joining GMS in July 2008 he was Development Director at BRI. He is both a Diploma Brewer and Master Maltster.
As Senior Technical Director he has
- Global responsibility for quality assurance, food safety and analytical programs
- Responsible for business activities in India
Martin Gibson – Technical Consultant
Martin Gibson has over 20 years experience of malting production management with Pauls Malt at a number of UK locations and was Malting Specialist for Greencore Malt covering its European operations. He has also worked with RusMalt and before joining GMS in June 2008 he worked for Heineken commissioning and running a new malting plant in the Middle East. He is a Master Maltster.
