About Us

Global Malting Services (GMS) was founded in June 2007 by the core management team that successfully completed a significant 6-year barley and malt supply chain management services project in Russia.

This project was based on meeting year-on-year contractual targets for malt production volumes and quality, reduced imported barley usage, improved conversion factor and people development. The scope also included the design, commercial negotiation, project management and commissioning of a new brown-field 120,000 tonne malting plant.

GMS is a 100% independent company with majority shareholder Greencore Group (a leading producer of convenience foods and ingredients).
